Seymour Resnick
Chairman and Founder

Sy is a graduate of the American Academy of Funeral Service and has been a funeral professional since 1955. From his early years on the Lower East Side, with his father-in-law Harry Buchbinder, Sy has devoted his life to serving the Jewish Community in their time of need. The family tradition continued as Sy moved Sinai Chapels to Fresh Meadows, Queens in 1981, designing a state-of-the-art facility to bring compassionate personal service to a new generation of the Jewish Community. During his early career, Sy devoted much of his free time to many Jewish fraternal service organizations. He continues to serve the Community through his memberships in the Pythian Lodges, Odd Fellows, and Synagogue. We are fortunate to have Sy working with us at Sinai Chapels and benefit daily from his experience and wisdom.
